Index Commercial and Industrial Brokers commenced operation in March 1998.  Since then the company has steadily grown to incorporate a wide array of property services.Index was initially established to fill a need in the market for experienced and motivated property brokers in the commercial and industrial property industry to grow successfully on an individual basis. 

At the outset Index operated primarily in commercial and industrial property sales and letting. Property syndications and, commercial and industrial developments soon followed.  Within the first year of operation the company had a flourishing team of twelve property brokers. Three years later, some of the original brokers in the company also became directors and shareholders of the Index. 

By recognizing the need of clients, the company then started the Index Property Administration and Management division which has seen enormous growth since its inception. This additional division brought about the change of the trading name of the company to Index Property Services.

Developments undertaken by the company have also over the years diversified into residential developments largely due to the high demand experienced on the North Coast and the new Point Waterfront.

The company focuses on property sales, letting, development and administration in the greater Durban area. The Directors and Property Brokers of Index Property Services are all highly experienced people in their respective fields, most of which have joined the company from other prominent Durban property organisations.
